How long has Northside been in existence?
	We will celebrate 29 years this December in the same location.

Who is the Pastor?
	Our pastor is Mesquite native Mark Wilburn. Pastor Mark has been our pastor for nine years. Our pastor’s wife is Mrs. Casy. They have two children. Mark Jr. is a freshman at Liberty University in Virginia and Becca is a freshman at Poteet High School.

What is an independent Baptist Church?
	Independent Baptist Churches are just that—“independent” of any governing body of umbrella organization. We believe that is the New Testament way, for each church to be under the authority of God, the Scriptures, and the local pastor, who is accountable to God, the Scriptures and the local congregation. Independent Baptists vary from one to another. Some are “ultra-conservative”, and paint themselves into a corner of non-relevance to the world today. Others are so progressive that they leave behind the focus and conservative distinctives that Northside strives to maintain. We desire to progress with the times in terms of our methods, but our Message remains the same. We are a balanced church not unlike a conservative Southern Baptist Church. First and foremost, we are Christians, maintaining the historic faith of the early church under the teachings of Christ and His holy Word.

Do you support missionaries worldwide?
	Absolutely. We prayfully and financially support missionaries all over the world. In fact, we have missionary families come by and see us on a regular basis and fellowship with our folks

Do you have a prayer ministry?
	Do we ever! In fact, we gauge everything around here on the success of our prayer ministries. Northside is neither a house of preaching nor house of worship. It is a house of prayer! We have devoted our entire Sunday evening service to prayer. We don’t just talk about it….we are a praying family.

What kind of music do you have?
	We blend contemporary choruses with the hymns we all grew up with. Our choir consist of over 30 members. Our music seeks to not be entertainment, but a true time to really seek and honor the Lord.

How does Northside reach out to the community that it is in?
	We have two major outdoor community events each year not to mention our revivals, special days and missions conferences. We host a Fall Carnival each October and a huge outdoor Christmas production called “Bethlehem Boulevard.” Northside helps with those looking for good food on a limited budget with our Angel Food Ministry.
Is Northside a friendly church?
	You might find some things at Northside that we could do better and Lord-willing in the future as we grow we will….but we guarantee being friendly will not be one of them. All we ask is that you make us prove it. Come and see!
