September 2005 Report From The Morgan’s

Takoradi Mission The last few weeks have been very revealing and stressful. We have had serious problem m the work caused by some who were coveting the power, property and perhaps the funds that had been saved by the mission through these 6 years. I do not know all who were involved but one man particularly has done irreparable damage to some families and the work. He was one of our Bible College students (second year) and was teaching one class where they would study the Basic doctrines of the scripture. He was our main "translator for the services and was also involved in translating the scriptures into the Fanti language. Because the mission was going to be organized in October, the positions held by this man were being used as an opportunity to campaign for the position of pastor of the new work. 3 had been praying for God to reveal the problems as we were not having visitors as before and people were not coming to be saved, God surely revealed several problems and this one was a surprise. However, since he was removed from the positions and the scriptural principles for church discipline applied, we have had 9 men saved in three weeks. We have also had 10 people make professions while we were visiting. It is sad, difficult and stressful to see these things happen, but a blessing to watch God work and prepare the mission for organization, Because of these problems, our Pastor feels, that we should delay the organization for a while. 

The Radio Mission It is such a blessing to be able to produce the radio broadcast Our Father is working m ways we may not know until we are with Him. During a recent Bible Conference, people came from severe different villages. One group told me that many of those in the village gather before the radio to listen to our broadcasts. They expressed thankfulness for the way God is helping them through the truth learned from the Bible. This was stated by other villages also and we are thankful. The radio ministry requires much time and money but it is joy to have the opportunity to share in the lives of people that we may never know till we meet in heaven. Many of the letters we received speak of people receiving Christ and some of them come to us from remote areas the blessings of the ministry are beyond words. I meet people all over Takoradi who share with me their thankfulness for the broadcasts. A manager of one radio station called me the “controversial white man" This is a name which has been produced by Biblical Truth. Truth always exposes error and gross error is what permeates the airways here in Ghana. It is a Joy to preach the Word and be able to watch our Father work.

The Widener Family has loaded all of their belongings into a container and it is somewhere wailing to be shipped. However the storm has created some uncertainties and the location of the paperwork is a problem at this time. The office of those who were handling the shipment was in New Orleans. Because of this their departure date has been delayed for a short, time. Thank you for remembering to pray for them.  

We need HELP with the additional funds for the radio station. This is a difficult time in the U.S. and many of you are facing higher prices in different areas. We do not wish to be an additional burden at this time there is a need for $ 25,000 which would be used for the transmitter and finishing the rooms which will house the station. The weekly radio broadcasts have been wonderfully used by our Father and we cannot imagine how much a 24 hour station would be used. We have a window of opportunity at this time and do not know when u. will close. Just want to let you know so you will know how to pray with us,
