Mission Letter - September 2005

Greetings in the name of the Lord. We count it a joy to be able to serve God and you in Monterrey, Mexico. We are grateful for you continual prayers and support. Thank you so much Northside, for all you do for us.

Since our last letter. I have been busy holding meetings at our different churches. At the end of last month, we held a meeting at Bethany Baptist Church in the Colony Fomerey 113. Beginning on Thursday and going through Sunday night, I met and taught from God's word about marriage. As you can imagine, this is a very needy subject as "machismo" is so prevalent in Mexico. (Unfortunately even in our churches.) There were around fifteen couples who showed up every night wanting to better educate themselves. Also, many singles attended who were interested in the subject.

Then, I was invited to visit Living Word Baptist Church in Guadalajara, Jalisco and preach and teach on the same subject. At that meeting, there were over forty couples present. I was also able to help several couples with their marriage problems during the counseling sessions that were held throughout the morning and early afternoon hours. I have been invited back for another meeting in a few months.

Maranatha Bible Baptist Church, in the Colony Zozaya held a special service where they put on a Christian play for the community. It was a representation of Noah's Ark and the many things that could have gone on in the ark during the time they were floating around. It was very well presented. Three people were saved at this special meeting.

By the time you receive this letter, my middle son Ryan and I will be in Tanzania, Africa on a missions trip. My son, who is gifted in working on video productions, has been invited to document a missions trip and produce a promotional video for Omega Missions. Of course, we could not let our son go by himself, so I "must travel with him.
